Parents in the Arts

A study in the United States on the Arts in the Basic Curriculum (ABC) Project found that students who were immersed in arts subjects generally received more parent involvement in their education than those who did not (Seaman, 1999).

Arts education advocate Ken Robinson is a proponent for having parents involved in their children’s education stating ‘when parents take an active interest in their child’s education, that child has a far better chance of thriving’ (Robinson & Aronica, 2015).
